Ulthera Update – Yes, it works. Yes, it hurts.

Does Ulthera Hurt?
The quest for youth and beauty has always brought out plenty of snake oil salesmen, so when something totally new comes along in the world of cosmetic procedures, skepticism often blankets any attempt at fanfare.

But since hitting the market with FDA approval in late 2009, Ulthera’s proverbial horn just seems to keep getting tooted. And for good reason – it seems to work.

Now, we have no scientific poll of actual users. Ours is simply good old fashioned web surfing. But while riding that virtual wave, we’ve discovered some interesting buzz. …More on

What Is A Neck Lift?

Neck Lift

We are often so busy staring at our faces
for signs of wrinkles that we fail to notice the sneak attack happening just below our chins.  As Nora Ephron says on page 5 of her bestselling book, I Feel Bad About My Neck, “According to my dermatologist, the neck starts to go at forty-three, and that’s that.  You can put makeup on your face and concealer under your eyes and dye on your hair, you can shoot collagen and Botox and Restylane into your wrinkles and creases, but short of surgery, there’s not a damn thing you can do about a neck. Our faces are lies and our necks are the truth...More on Neck Lift Surgery

Mid-Face Lift – A Scar Free Facelift

It wasn’t until the last decade or so that the middle of the face started getting some real attention in the world of plastic surgery.  It seems amazing to think of it now, but cosmetic surgery didn’t offer any targeted techniques to address sagging cheeks and the loss of volume between the corners of the eyes and the corners of the mouth until the mid 1990s.  Before that time, cosmetic facial surgery had answers for the forehead and eyelids with procedures such as eye lifts and brow lifts, and jaws and necks were rejuvenated with traditional facelifts and neck lifts.  Essentially, 30 percent of the face was being ignored! …More on Mid-Face Lift

Lap  Band surgery is used to help overweight patients to lose weight. It is the brand name for an FDA approved procedure, involving the use of an adjustable gastric band to restrict intake of food.

Food passes into the smaller, upper part of the stomach only, which leaves the patient feeling full after eating just a small amount of food.

The procedure

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

Dental implants are the preferred option for assisting patients who have lost their teeth due to accident or wear and tear. Brow Lift or Forehead Lift?

eyebrow lift - forehead lift
A high eyebrow, smooth eyelids and wide, open eyes is one of the sure signs of youth.  But as we age, gravity and the loss of firmness and elasticity can cause the eyebrows to droop and create a “hooded” look above the eyes.  Fortunately, a cosmetic surgery brow lift is a relatively quick and effective option to eliminate sagging brows and foreheads.

What is the difference between a brow lift and a forehead lift?
If you don’t know the answer to this question, you are not alone. ..More on Brow or Forehead Lift

The Brazilian Butt Lift

Brazilian Butt Lift
Also known as Butt Augmentation, the Brazilian Butt Lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure to help lift the buttocks, to give them a more ‘perky’ appearance. It is popular because it creates a more youthful, slender body contour.

It is achieved by injecting fat taken from other areas of the body, into the top half of the buttocks. This brings about a double benefit, as it reduces areas of unwanted fat while augmenting areas that need more fat, bringing about the overall desired body contour.

The procedure

The Brazilian Butt Lift is conducted using general anesthetic. Patients are then subjected to a process of liposuction, which effectively removes unwanted excess fat from other areas of the body such as the stomach and thighs, back and abdomen. ..More on Brazilian Butt Lift
